The nutrients included with the Deluxe Kit are PowerPlant and PowerBloom, but others including Technaflora's three-part BC Brand nutes are compatible with this system and available for you. Include your preference with your order. I use a Hagen Wide Range pH test kit, but it doesn't include pH adjustment solution (pH up & pH down), so a litre each of Technaflora Up&Down is included with the deluxe system. Many nutrients can only be absorbed within a certain range of pH, so monitoring and compensating is important. An accurate and easy-to-use test kit makes a world of difference. Powerpharms are available in four and six basket configurations. A High capacity reservoir is also available for those who like to leave their garden unattended from time to time. Add $20 to your order for the heavier pump and deeper reservoir. All units come with the sight-glass and drain-line attached. Still not sure about hydro? Ebb 'n' Flow?" Its not an easy question to answer because this represents a departure from standard hydroponic techniques. It uses a small reservoir that submerges the roots in oxygenated solution, so in a way its a Deep Water Culture system. Unlike E&F the water level is fixed, so the solution never leaves the res, meaning you'll never have to worry about leaking connectors or a spill of any kind. The pump moves the solution past the roots vigorously enough to break down the boundary layer of water surrounding the roots, so new solution is constantly being introduced, like Nutrient Film Technque (NFT) except without the troughs of flowing water.
